Hi everyone…long overdue for an update on here. I’ve been slacking and i apologize.. but much to fill you in on now!
First wanted to let you know about a special show coming up this weekend. I was invited to open for singer/songwriter Adam Levy (of the Honeydogs) @ Drom on Sunday Nov 9th. It’s a beautiful space if you’ve never been, w/ a nice baby grand piano. I’ll be performing as a duo w/ Chris Kelly on bass.
A belated THANK YOU to everyone who came to my birthday show in August @ Joe’s Pub. It was truly a special night for me. I’ve posted a bunch of pics on facebook, and video clips from the show on youtube. Here are a few of each along w/ some press on the show! Soon i will post the clip of the special finale and stunt we did!!
Happy to report that last week i finished up w/ tracking and mixing on the new record. Had done 7 songs over the summer and went back and did 3 more last month, so now i am proud to say i will be putting out my FIRST full length album!! If you’ve been following along on facebook, you’ve seen some of the album teasers i’ve been posting…(if you haven’t been following well why not?! – www.facebook.com/craiggreenbergmusic , Soon i will have it mastered and start working on the art work, and planning a big release show in early ’15…exciting stuff!!!
In addition to fun shows for CMJ and CBGB Fest, in October I had the great pleasure of accompanying friend Louise Goffin (along w/ guitarist Jason Loughlin) at her show @ City Winery. I played piano and organ (and some egg shakers). The place is just amazing. Terrific sound and everyone on the staff was so nice! We open for Gary Wright, writer of the songs “Dreamweaver” “Love is Alive”…..! Here’s a CLIP (i’m off camera). Ciao for now!!

SO EXCITED to be having my birthday show this year at Joe’s Pub.
This venue has been on the top of my list of NYC spots to perform at since i moved back here 10 years ago.
I will be joined by the CGBand–Chris Kelly, Scott Tofte, Patrick Brennan, plus special guest Scott Stein will be sitting in on keys
Opening the show will be good friend John Brodeur. They’ll be birthday sweets and an afterparty to follow!

Steel Bridge Songfest Recap / American Songwriter Magazine! / Summer Dates (BIRTHDAY SHOW @ JOE’s PUB 8/23!!) / NEW record in the works!!
Well it’s hot in NYC…REAL hot! There’s no denying that summer is officially here, and i’m ready to sizzle down with the rest of you!
Had a terrific time in Wisconsin at Steel Bridge SongFest a couple weeks ago. This was my 9th year performing at the festival and attending the Construction Zone songwriter event at the Holiday Motel.. it’s always cool to see how the event evolves each year – this year the new studio/performance space – The Tambourine Lounge (a.k.a. the “Collaboratory”), and the Steel Bridge Radio, were AMAZING additions. I got to co-write songs w/ some incredible talent! Especially proud of the song i wrote w/ Graciana Holland, and Jimm McKever, and also one w/ the fabulous Louise Goffin… Speaking of Louise, she was recently interviewed in American Songwriter magazine to talk about her new album coming out this month, and she mentioned me and a song called “Deep Dark Night of the Soul” we co-wrote together (w/ Corinne Lee) last year at Steel Bridge as being her favorite on the record. Was quite an honor and a thrill! Can check out the full article -> HERE
IN OTHER NEWS, I am excited to announce that i’ll be spending much of the summer months in the studio working on a new record! I started up last week @ Galuminum Foil Studios in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (where i’m now residing incidentally), and things are coming along really nicely! I’ve been posting updates (pics/vids) on Facebook & Twitter so go and follow if you wanna keep up with all the updates as they come.. If all goes to plan, i’ll have a new album to release before the year is up!
Hunkering down on the record I won’t be doing any proper tours this summer, though i will be getting out of town for a couple of regional festival dates.

“Circle Camps offers free overnight camping experiences to young girls who have experienced the death of a parent.
Our mission is to offer our campers the adventures and fun of living and playing together at overnight camps, while
providing supportive environments in which they can share their grief. As the camp is entirely free, it is from the generosity of donors and fundraising efforts that we can offer this service to our campers. This year’s New York City fundraiser will be a Battle of the Bands. All of the money raised will be donated to Circle Camps in memory of Claire Blackman, my best friend’s mother, who passed away last year from a rare form of Parkinson’s disease. She was passionate about music (specifically Adam Levin and Paul McCartney) and was the
inspiration behind making this year’s fundraising event a Battle of the Bands.
