“Circle Camps Battle of the Bands” Benefit @ Rockwood (Stage 2)

  7-930Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 2)

“Circle Camps offers free overnight camping experiences to young girls who have experienced the death of a parent.
Our mission is to offer our campers the adventures and fun of living and playing together at overnight camps, while
providing supportive environments in which they can share their grief. As the camp is entirely free, it is from the generosity of donors and fundraising efforts that we can offer this service to our campers. This year’s New York City fundraiser will be a Battle of the Bands. All of the money raised will be donated to Circle Camps in memory of Claire Blackman, my best friend’s mother, who passed away last year from a rare form of Parkinson’s disease. She was passionate about music (specifically Adam Levin and Paul McCartney) and was the
inspiration behind making this year’s fundraising event a Battle of the Bands.

And later in the Month, I’ll be heading out to LA for pair of shows and to attend the ASCAP conference…… sooooo excited!  Check the scoop!

Sat in w/ the one and only Jerry Joseph on his tour ending shows the last 2 nights in NYC – at Rockwood in the LES on Sun, and last night up in Harlem at Shrine.  Both EPIC shows!  And confirmed a couple more dates of my own in the next month (see below)…. see you out there!!

Fri, 3/14,@ Caffe Vivaldi in w.village, i’ll be doing a few and accompanying John Mollica, 8p
Tues 3/18 @ The Bitter End for the The “Leave A Lasting Mark” Concert Series benefit show (Tribute to 1969, NYC’s Fillmore East. Foundation Fighting Blindess), playing piano and singing on one.
Thurs 3/20 @ The Studio at Webster Hall – First-At Music Showcase
Fri 3/28 & 3/29 @ Singer-Songwriter Cape May Fest in NJ (w/#CGBand)
Sat 4/5 @ Rock n Roll Resort Fest in upstate NY (w/#CGBand)
Sat 4/12 @ The Producer’s Club (musical guest at comedy improv group IRTE show)

Well, it’s been a hot minute!  I’m back in the big apple after a great trip to Costa Rica last month.  I went to attend Jungle Jam Fest in Jaco, and wound up getting in to play a set on their acoustic stage.  Also, got into a jam session at the “wrap party” of the fest, playing drums (yep) backing up a couple of incredible musicians, Ryan Montbleau and Zack Deputy.  Was a hell of a good time!
After CR, i spent some days in Florida on a writing retreat, and finished some new music I’m really excited about!
I’ll be debuting 2 of the new songs at the upcoming CG Band show at Rockwood Music Hall on Feb 26th.

I’m especially excited to be performing for the first time at RocknRoll Resort Festival, happening in Kerhonkson, NY on Apr 5th.  It’s an AMAZING lineup, including Dumpstaphunk, Everyone Orchestra (w/ Steve Kimock, Jennifer Hartswick, et al), The Motet, Turkuaz, and many more great acts!  Deets on all the upcoming shows below…

Oh, and at our last show at Rockwood the band and I worked up a cover of the Lorde song “Royals”.  Well, it received quite a response!  Was overjoyed to have it be posted and tweeted about by Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s!
Check it out and share it!!  🙂
